CycleWR is a nonprofit organization advocating for cycling to be a safe, respected, convenient, and everyday mode of transportation for people of all ages and abilities. We are actively seeking board members to assist in advancing the state of cycling in the region. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our board members are fully engaged in the development of resources and campaigns that help raise the profile of all kinds of people who cycle, with special attention towards educating elected officials and municipal staff members.
Two (2) positions available
This is an extraordinary opportunity for anyone who is passionate about strong towns, cycling, equity, and community; and who hopes to strengthen their leadership and governance skills in the nonprofit sector. Special skills sought include social and traditional media, advocacy, public policy, marketing, events planning, infrastructure analysis, and financial acumen.
Cycle WR has seven board members and holds twelve board meetings per year. Board members are expected to read board materials in advance of board meetings and to come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions.
Board terms last for three years and board members can serve consecutive terms.
