CycleWR
Hey everyone, we were informed there was a long di Hey everyone, we were informed there was a long discussion at Kitchener Council on Monday about reallocating cycling funding in the budget - specifically council discussed that “might spend too much on cycling” and may want to defer funds to traffic calming and/or extend construction of finishing the grid.If you can write to your ward councillor and write to delegation@kitchener.ca for your comments to be read before the meeting that would be so helpful! If you can do even better, you can delegate today at the meeting taking place at 19-21h (7-9pm). You can delegate virtually if you register before 17h (5pm). You can delegate in person up to the start of the meeting at 19h (7pm). You will have a total of 5 minutes to share, but you don't need to fill those 5 minutes. The key message we should encourage is that Kitchener should maintain existing funding and timelines of projects, like finishing the DTK grid in a timely manner to maximize its benefit.➡️ Go to this form: https://form.kitchener.ca/COR/LEG/Delegation-form (clickable link in our story)
